If you’re in London any time this month until 30th October, go to the top floor of Foyles bookshop in Charing Cross Road for a stunning calligraphy show. We put it up today. Over 80 pieces of work by many well-known and several unknown calligraphers. Put together by CLAS, Calligraphy & Lettering Arts Society (see website www.clas.co.uk ) this is an outstanding show.

Progress Theatre again
I’m working on some pieces for the foyer of this enterprising independent theatre again, to be shown during their annual “Writefest”.
Having attended their Summer Shakespeare – they put on Hamlet in the park, very atmospheric – I chose to use some quotes from this for two long banners which will form a contrast with the set of smaller ones next on the agenda. If you’re in Reading, do check out the programme. My show is on during October, for about a month in the leadup and during the production of the 7 winning one-act plays, dates for my show not finalised. Google Progress Theatre Reading.

Progress Theatre
This wonderful little independent theatre in Reading has |an annual ‘WriteFest’ – this year from 80+ entries of new writing, 7 excellent one-act plays were selected and I was in the audience for the excellent first night. I was privileged to put a show of a whole set of theatrically-realted work on for the month – it was great fun to do. See www.progresstheatre.co.uk for opening times. The exhibition is open until 30 November 2012. (I haven’t moved from Hants – my son & his wife spend all their spare time volunteering for Progress, and live nearby).
